The terms that govern your use of the EMET website and programs.
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Welcome to EMET. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and educational programs, operated by STEM-EMET, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ("EMET," "we," "us"). By using our website or participating in our programs, you agree to these Terms.
EMET provides educational support to K-12 students, including AP course tutoring, core math and science support, and English pronunciation and fluency instruction. Our tutors are volunteers, including university students and recent graduates. While we are committed to quality instruction, we do not guarantee any specific academic result, exam score, grade, or admission outcome.
Many of our students are minors. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and submit any enrollment or contact requests on your behalf. By enrolling a student, you confirm that you are the student or their parent/guardian and are authorized to accept these Terms.
When using our website, communication platforms, or attending sessions, you agree to:
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to anyone who violates these Terms or behaves in a way that harms our community.
Our programs are often coordinated through third-party services such as Discord, Instagram, and email. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and policies, which are outside our control.
The content on this website — including text, logos, and graphics — belongs to EMET or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission, except as reasonably needed for personal, educational, non-commercial use.
EMET is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations are voluntary and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, non-refundable. See our donate page for details.
Our website and programs are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EMET is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of our website or participation in our programs.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our website or programs after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
